Highest Quality Construction
Unlike most developers, PHC builds its communities as a fully licensed unlimited general contractor, the highest general contractor construction qualification in the state of South Carolina. Everything built by PHC is built with the buyer in mind. We begin with quality materials and we manage the construction from day one with one of the most rigorous quality control programs in the business. We complete the construction process with the most detailed and thorough inspection and walk-through process in the business. At PHC, we expect every development to be 100% - no exceptions. At PHC, we are always striving to improve the quality of our construction and the value we provide through it. PHC focuses on quality construction. Every residential development we build comes standard with cable in every room, multiple switching for each outlet, and overhead wiring for fans. For us, these features are not options; they are construction requirements. In 2002, PHC Communities began adding 9-foot ceilings and broadband wiring throughout its communities as additional construction requirements.
The Principals
Alex Crawford graduated from Hamden-Sydney with a B.A. in Psychology. In 1996, he formed a general contracting company in Charleston, specializing in historic home renovations, light commercial construction and single-family house construction. He sold his interest in Chastain Construction in 2001 to join PHC Communities. Alex is a licensed unlimited general contractor in the state of South Carolina and North Carolina.
Ron Vergnolle graduated from the Citadel with a B.A. in English. He also received his J.D. in Law and L.L.M. in Transnational and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law. He has been involved in real estate development for almost ten years and has been the managing member of PHC since its inception.
